General description

As the name suggests… we stocked the “F1 Pond” with… F1’s! (they are carp, bred with Crucians or Brown Goldfish for those that don’t already know).

F1s are a fun, finicky little fish that have a propensity to feed slightly higher in the water column if they can do so.

Only tiny, fidgety bites usually give away their presence… providing something slightly different to target on the Ashby ticket.

It was originally stocked (2019/2020 season) with a real mix of sizes of F1, the biggest being around the 2.5lb mark.

These new additions were of course on top of the original Wiggs stock… which includes Common/Mirror carp to around the 10lb mark and some cracking Roach(1lb) and Perch(2.5lb).

Those that can dot their floats right down and use more delicate end tackle can have a cracking day when this fun little pond gets going.

Ide were stocked 2020/2021 season, which we are confident (following their success/popularity on the “Top Pond”) will be a welcome addition.
