This pretty pond, situated at the back/top of the “Main Pond” at Bagworth gets it’s name from the successful nesting wall of Sandmartins that live on the opposite bank during the warmer months.
…Lovely to watch them come and go in-between bites!

(Make sure you don’t go casting near the nest box whilst it’s in use please).

We are taking steps to turn this pond – that almost feels like a stretch of canal due to it’s shape and size, into a “Silvers only” water.

Crucians and Tench were stocked into it last Winter, adding to an existing head of Rudd that are of a fair size!
A pleasure to catch shallow on light tackle.
